Cr Matic says the BCC will spray bitumen on the side of the hill to make the car park - is he mad?
I was appalled by the information provided by Mr Arthur Palmer on ABC radio yesterday. I am a ex serviceman and have recently returned to Brisbane living in Auchenflower. Prior I was associated with and on the committeee of the Gove sub branch of the RSL for 16 years.
ReplyDeleteI have also had dealings with the BCC and Mr Peter Peter Matic - my opinion is that local government is untrustworthy and focussed on development and building roads rather than building community spirit and in this case remembering those who paid such a great sacrifice so that we can have the lifestyle we have today. What organisations like BCC and people like councillor Matic don't try to understand is that those who paid this sacrifice were ordinary people from ordinary communities who believed in freedom, mateship and doing the right thing. Is there am organising committee as I would like to help. Also have the greens ben contacted for support - I have contacts with the local organisers.Thank you for raising this important issue. Once again I am appalled at what is planned.Commander RAN (retired)
