You can sign it even if you have signed the written petition. In fact, you must, because there is a little counter which everybody can see which tells the world how many people care.
Children can sign it! The parliamentary website, says they can if they are residents of Queensland and are old enough to understand what they are signing.

Surely this is a poorly considered decision. 1.Even private schools use their own buses to take students from distant suburbs to school, BBC and IGS, to my knowledge and probably other schools also. Who better than the Brisbane City Council to ferry workers to and from the site?
ReplyDelete2.The Park and Ride near the Toowong roundabout is another option for parking for workers; that carpark never seems close to full.
3.The bus depot will have space available once the bus construction section is moved to Acacia Ridge. Surely a little forward planning and co-oridination would make that a much better site for the workers to park. If necessary a bus could ferry them to and from the site.
4. The workers will be working in shifts. Taking that into considertion, how many parking spaces are actually needed?
