  1. ANZAC WAR Memorial Park Toowong may well be the first in the world. Many families have buried urns & scattered ashes of Returned Soldier loved ones here for decades. The memorial avenues of palms & other trees were planted during WW1 immediately after Gallipoli. Turning this beautiful, iconic & sacred park into a commercial car park is a disgrace to the memory of the fallen & offensive to all citizens. 100,000’s of Australian War dead did not sacrifice their youth for a foreign mining company commercial car park.
