Today I swelled with pride to be among Toowong residents (Friends of ANZAC Park), who are taking it upon themselves to save the dignity and character of Anzac War Memorial Park in Wool St, against Brisbane City Council, who are pushing to create a car park. Shame on council for even thinking of making the memories of our ancestors a car park for the Northern Link tunnel project (Legacy Way).
